Vegatable and herbs sowing plan

  • Lettuce sow sparingly every two weeks from february in 15 cm pots to allow for approx 5 plants per pot to mature

  • Tomatoes - 3 different varieties. Sow in february inhouse, transplant when two leaves and grow under lights to and plant out in may/june when first flowers showing. Pinch out. Plant out in large pots or tubs, 2 plants in each container.

very little of the February sowing made it through March. a) I attempted to transplant too early. Slugs and birds got what was left. The following is showing no sign of germination: Foxgloves (grandiflora); Primula; Cephalaria; eranthis; Chelone, Allium; Amsonia.

  • Sunflower: targeted to be planted into the wild flower bed in front.
