Figs can be readily grown in the UK climate. They were used as a sweetening method before sugar was more widely used. Fig trees grow well in UK gardens and are such a versatile fruit to have at your fingertips. Figs can be enjoyed in summer salads, or wrapped in prosciutto, roasted or grilled, and eaten with cheeses

2024-01-30: Two ficus bonsai trees have grown well through 2023 and overwintered in the greenhouse.

2023-03-19: Turned some of the figs that has grown in the compost heap into a bonsai. wired it up and cleaned the roots. Looking forward to see how it performs over time

2023-03-18: Reshaped the figs in pots to allow them to become more bushy.

2023-02-15: Identified some figs that has grown in the compost heap and was previously repotted that can be changed into bonsai
