Early summer: unique, sweetly lemon-scented, pink flower clusters - big as saucers. Spring through summer: lush deep purple-black leaves on erect branching bushes. Autumn: shiny black berries.

Contrast well with lavenders, Flowers and berries make delicious cordials. (edible)

Easy in sun or partial shade, on most soils.
