This is a Hardy Biennial, it is grown for its flowering stalks of pink, purple or white flowers that become silvery, paper-like seed pods. These pods are used widely in floral and dried arrangements, They will self-sow readily and can tolerate some drought. You should sow the seeds in early spring in mild climate areas.
