Sweet williams

indian pink dianthus

This is a popular annual. It has a short tufted growth habit with grey-green lance-shaped leaves. In late spring and early summer it will bear masses of tubular, single or double sweetly scented flowers in shades of pink, red, lavender and white. It will grow to a height and spread of 15-30cm. It is a good plant for borders, containers and window boxes. They will prefer full sun or partial shade but cannot tolerate full sun in hot climates

This could also be a barbatus (sweet william).
