Polka dot plant
This genus has about 40 species of evergreen perennials shrubs and subshrubs; some have attractive spotted leaves and this is their main attraction. Other species are grown for their pleasant autumn flowers which are densely clustered along the upper stems. They are frost tender with a min of 10C. Grow them in bright light and well drained soil. Propagation is by stem cuttings in the spring or summer.
