Saxifraga arendsii

Saxifraga produces deep pink petite flowers with evergreen foliage. An easy to grow perennial they are perfect for adding colour to rockeries or patio containers but are a popular choice as ground cover at the front of borders due to its creeping nature. Prolific rosy pink blooms flower during the summer months from June to September and reach a maximum height of 15cm.

Saxifraga is the largest genus in the family Saxifragaceae, containing about 465 species of holarctic perennial plants, known as saxifrages or rockfoils. The Latin word saxifraga means literally “stone-breaker”, from Latin saxum + frangere.
