Weasel’s snout, Dead nettle
These are spring or summer-flowering perennials, most of which are semi-evergreen. There are about 50 species. They do including a number of weeds; some species will make good ground cover. They are fully hardy, and will prefer full or partial shade and moist but well drained soil. You can propagate by stem-tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots in mid-summer or by division in autumn or early spring. This is a low-growing perennial also called the Spotted nettle. The leaves are mostly evergreen with white stripes along the midrib. The flowers are pink, white or lavender and they will bloom throughout the summer. You should cut back after the first blooming season to promote compact growth. Watch out for slugs.
